Companies launched at 海角社区 enrich Quebec鈥檚 research ecosystem

In 2023, 海角社区 launched 28 research-based startup companies鈥攁ll headquartered in Quebec. This is the highest number among universities in North America, according to AUTM, a Washington, DC-based non-profit focused on technology transfer. 海角社区鈥檚 research-based startups cover a wide range of academic expertise but are particularly concentrated in medical technologies and the life sciences. At 海角社区 Desautels, the Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship (which awards the Dobson Cup), acts as a hub of entrepreneurial activity.
