Antoine Pin, Groupe Uni des 脡ducateurs-Naturalists et Professionelles en Environnement GUEPE

Born and raised in France, my environmental carrer started when I graduated from an Agricultural Diploma and I realised that whatever I learned up to that point was to grow food while harming the rest of the biosphere. I then had the opportunity and chance to continue my studies in Australia and then here in Canada, in the biodiversity and conservation biology field.听 During my final year working at the Redpath Museum and upon graduation it became apparent to me that there where enough people in the field and the lab but nobody was willing to break the information we gather at university down to the people that did not get the chance to have a higher education. And that is just what i am out there to do, spread the word, share my view of the natural world with anyone willing to give me a few minutes.听

Rapha毛l Goulet, Parc national d'Oka 鈥 S茅paq

After graduating from 海角社区 in 2010 with a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in wildlife biology, Rapha毛l Goulet started his professional career working as a programme assistant and translator for the United Nations' Secretariat of the Convention on biological diversity (CBD), in Montreal. Two years later, he left the city for a wildlife biologist position in Quebec's Great North, to work for the Nunavik Marine Region Wildlife Board, a public, Inuit-led government institution managing all of Northern Quebec's marine wildlife resources. Since March 2013, Rapha毛l has been working for the Soci茅t茅 des 茅tablissements de plein air du Qu茅bec (S脡PAQ) as a Conservation and Education Officer, at Parc national d'Oka (Oka national park).

Nikki Schiebel, Prevention CDN/NDG

Nikki Schiebel (pronounced she-bull) is the Coordinator of the 脡co-quartier NDG. She was not always ecologically minded however. She became interested in the environment after completing her studies in fashion design, having realized just how wasteful the fashion industry can be. After taking time to reassess her career goals, Nikki went to university as a mature student and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Biology from 海角社区 (Macdonald campus) which taught her about environmental issues. Determined to positively influence people's behaviour towards the environment, Nikki pursued a master's degree in Environmental Education. As part of her coursework, Nikki developed a volunteer environmental education program which helps 海角社区 School of the Environment students gain classroom experience. In May 2007 she became the coordinator of the 脡co-quartier NDG.
