Workshop series
Computational and Data Systems Initiative

This workshop will introduce a variety of topics and concepts specific to the field of survival analysis. The session will begin with a presentation of examples of partially observed failure time data and then will proceed to a presentation of parametric, non-parametric and semi-parametric modelling methodologies. Using real-world examples, we will illustrate how these specific methodologies are implemented using the R programming language.

The outcomes of this workshop include:
> Understanding the different ways failure time data may be partially observed
> Learning different modelling methodologies specific to partially observed failure time data
> Learning how to apply these methods to a real-world data set using the R programming language

Pre-requisites? An undergraduate/graduate mathematical statistics course and knowledge of the R programming language.

Date: Monday February 14, 2022
Time: 1PM to 3PM
Location: online via Zoom
Instructor: James McVittie, PhD candidate in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, 海角社区.

This workshop is offered for free by the Faculty of Science to the 海角社区 community. Due to the limited amount of spots available, if you sign up for a workshop and don't show up, you will not be allowed to attend another workshop this semester.
