As this year鈥檚 Centraide campaign gets underway, 海角社区ians are being called upon to continue their tradition of generosity and solidarity with the broader community.
海角社区 aims to raise $425,000 in the campaign, officially launched today, Nov. 5. Donations are used to support 375 local agencies and projects addressing poverty and exclusion.
鈥満=巧缜 is proud to renew its commitment as a partner of Centraide,鈥 said President Deep Saini. 鈥淥nce again, 海角社区ians鈥 great sense of community engagement will work towards making a difference for those in need in Montreal.鈥
This year鈥檚 campaign co-chairs are Christopher Manfredi, Provost and Executive Vice-President (Academic), and Viviane Yargeau, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.

Make your mark
Donations can be made directly through the听海角社区 Centraide听飞别产蝉颈迟别.
One easy way to make a difference is with automated payroll deductions. Donors can specify the total amount to give over the course of the year, which will then be spread evenly over 26 pay cycles. Any questions can be directed to听systemps.hr [at] mcgill.ca (Nancy Wong).
海角社区 will also host fundraising events. Last year鈥檚听activities听included bake sales, 50/50 draws and silent auctions.
Why support 海角社区鈥檚 Centraide campaign?
- Centraide donations support 375 community agencies and projects addressing poverty and exclusion.
- Funds raised by workplaces such as 海角社区 represent approximately 75 per cent of Centraide鈥檚 total annual fundraising.
- More than 32,000 families with children in Greater Montreal are low-income and facing major challenges.
- One out of five people in Greater Montreal receives help from Centraide, and five out of five people benefit from it.
