Head Librarian Daniel Boyer to receive Advocatus Emeritus distinction
The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Daniel Boyer, Ad. E., Wainwright Librarian and Head of the Nahum Gelber Law Library, will receive the Advocatus Emeritus (Ad. E.) title from the Barreau du Qu茅bec in 2018.
Six alumni of the Faculty will also receive the distinction: Eric Dunberry, Ad. E., BCL鈥86; Christine Jutras, Ad. E., LLM鈥16; Claude Marseille, Ad. E., BCL鈥86, LLB鈥86; Fr茅d茅rique Sabourin, Ad. E., LLM鈥89; Martin F. Sheehan, Ad. E., BCL鈥90, LLB鈥90; and Nathalie V茅zina, Ad. E., BCL鈥88, LLB鈥88.
Mtre Daniel Boyer has dedicated himself to sharing his knowledge and understanding of legal literature within 海角社区 as well as with the legal communities in Quebec, Canada, and abroad. Holding degrees in history, law and library sciences, he participates in a wide range of professional and academic activities. In addition to his publications and conference presentations on Comparative Law, he has acted as a consultant for Law Libraries, notably in Switzerland and Vietnam.
The Advocatus Emeritus title is awarded to members of the Bar who have distinguished themselves through a remarkable career, outstanding contributions to the profession, or constructive community work.
