Confronting Genocide: book on Genocide Conference now published
The 海角社区 Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism is proud to announce the publication of the Confronting Genocide book.
Edited by Professors Ren茅 Provost and Payam Akhavan, Confronting Genocide is a collection of the essays that were written in the wake of the original presentations delivered at the Global Conference on the Prevention of Genocide held at 海角社区 University in Montreal.
These essays represent a sample of the extraordinary exchanges
that took place during the conference, and are an effort to share
this cumulative knowledge and wisdom with an even wider
audience.
The First Echenberg Family Conference on Human Rights, which took
place October 11-13, 2007, brought together hundreds of
participants, including genocide survivors, Nobel prize laureates,
Pulitzer prize-winners, scholars and authors, statesmen and
diplomats, media personalities, and other prominent figures, as
well as 36 young student leaders from 22 different countries around
the world.
