Mario Prost, DCL’09, wins 2009 APDQ Prize for best doctoral thesis
Mario Prost, DCL'09, has won the 2009 Prize for best doctoral thesis from the Association des professeurs de droit du Québec (APDQ).
His thesis, written under the supervision of Professor René Provost and titled Unitas Multiplex - Les unités du droit international et la politique de la fragmentation, addresses issues of unity and fragmentation of international law from a critical perspective, underlining how the rhetoric of unity contributes to the depolitisation and overscientification of the discipline.
A former fellow of the Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism, Mario Prost is currently a lecturer at the Keele Law School, in the U.K. He is also the chief editor of the Case Commentaries at the Quebec Review of International Law.
