Update on negotiations with AMUSE (floor fellows)
The parties met on November 14, 15 and 25 in the presence of the arbitrator appointed by the minist猫re du Travail. The employer presented for review by the union the bilingual version of the text agreed on pertaining to the grievance procedure, as well as of the article related to the drafting of the collective agreement.
The parties, under the guidance of the arbitrator, spent many hours explaining their objectives and constraints relative to the various components of the compensation of floor fellows. On November 14, they were able to reach an agreement on the matter of worked hours. On November 15 and 25, the parties discussed the various monetary elements. The parties compared and outlined the major differences between the overall compensation of floor fellows on the downtown and the Macdonald campuses.
The parties made significant progress but were not able to reach a final agreement. The next meeting is scheduled for December 6th.
