U.S.-Canada exchange: 海角社区 to benefit from prestigious Fulbright program In support of up-and-coming scholars as well as seasoned researchers
This year, as part of the world-renowned Fulbright program - an educational movement based on the principle of scholarly exchange between the United States and various countries from around the world - one 海角社区 student will study and conduct research in the U.S., while three American scholars and four American students will visit 海角社区.
Ms. Deborah Lightman, a 海角社区 Master's student in Environmental Studies and Urban Planning, has been awarded a traditional Fulbright student award. She will spend a year conducting research on the processes in environmental policymaking, with a focus on collaborative management of natural resources at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
In addition, 海角社区 is pleased to welcome a large contingent of American Award recipients.

By engaging our brightest minds in academic exchanges, the Canada-U.S. Fulbright Program seeks to enhance mutual understanding between Canada and the United States. Through its bilateral academic exchanges, outstanding students, scholars and professionals strengthen Canada-U.S. relations by examining a wide range of subjects critical to the relationship between the two countries.
Operating in more than 150 countries worldwide, the Fulbright program has long been regarded as the world's premiere academic exchange. With the support of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada and the United States Department of State, the Canada-U.S. Fulbright Program is the gold standard for academic exchanges and intellectual opportunity.
