Mohit is a Bachelor of Arts graduate (Class of 2023) from Ashoka University, having studied history, international relations, and Persian. Since 2019, he has been working to improve literacy in his community through Sarathi: The Guide. His project has expanded to mobilize 45 volunteers to support 850 students in ten villages. Mohit also works as a residence assistant mentor and volunteers as a peer tutor. He has held several jobs, including one as an office counsellor for the Young Scholars Program.

Minister of Education, Bernard Drainville, and Minister of Higher Education, Pascale D茅ry, inducted the 25 new members of the Ordre de l'excellence en 茅ducation at an official ceremony at the National Assembly on May 29th recognizing these new inductees for their contribution to education.

Jessica Mettler, recent PhD graduate in the Human Development program supervised by Dr. Nancy Heath, has been awarded the highly competitive Governor General鈥檚 Gold Medal, which is awarded to the most outstanding PhD graduate in Social Sciences & Humanities at 海角社区, and the 海角社区 Alumni Association Graduate Award, which is awarded to an outstanding PhD graduate at 海角社区.

Indigenous 海角社区 students including the Faculty鈥檚 In-Community students with the Office of First Nations and Inuit Education (OFNIE) participated in the annual virtual Scarf Ceremony. Indigenous knowledge-keepers and University leadership offered heartfelt greetings and words of wisdom to our graduands who will don red or white scarves as part of their Convocation regalia.

Professor Victoria Talwar, from the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, was featured recently in Globe and Mail's article on limiting screen time for children.听 The quality of that screen time is worth considering, and a child connecting with friends or family using the technology isn't a bad thing.听 However, it is important to keep an eye on children's screen time, as it continues to rise, from year to year.

Assistant Professor of Indigenous Education in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education's Janine Metallic was featured in the Montreal Gazette article: First Nations leaders want Quebec to drop plans for Indigenous language law.

The Department Kinesiology and Physical Education's Dr. Lindsay Duncan, associate professor, Dr. Charlotte Usselman, assistant professor, and Will Huckins, master鈥檚 student, were featured recently in the 海角社区 Tribune article on the bans on transgender women in sports.

The governing body that regulates track and field, cross country running, road running, race walking, mountain running, and ultra running competitions at the international level, voted to completely ban transgender women athletes who have gone through male puberty from competing at international events.
