Healthy Brains, Healthy Lives (HBHL) invites applications for the positions of HBHL Research Theme 1 and Research Theme 4 Leader, as well as Associate Leader positions for each of HBHL's four research themes.

We're happy to announce that听Dr. Lesley Fellows听is the new Leader of Healthy Brains, Healthy Lives' (HBHL) Research Theme 3 (Applied Cognitive Neuroscience of Brain Plasticity).听As a key member of HBHL's governance and decision-making听structure, HBHL's Theme 3 Leader regularly provides input on HBHL's strategic direction鈥攊ncluding the development and approval of activities and funding initiatives designed to help HBHL achieve its objectives.

The Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) recently unveiled the recipients of its October 2019 Insights Grant competition where they awarded $91 million in funding to more than 1,253 researchers from 60 different Canadian institutions. Among the recipients are 38 海角社区-led projects, totalling $17.8 million.

Launched today, the听听(HIBALL) will work to create 3D brain models at an unprecedented cellular-level resolution. Co-led by Katrin Amunts, from听听(FZJ) in Germany and Alan Evans from The Neuro (Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital) and听海角社区听in Canada, the project builds on more than two decades of collaborations between the Amunts and Evans labs.

Please note that Research and Innovation (R+I), including all of its associated units, will soon change to a summer schedule as per 海角社区鈥檚 policy on Summer Fridays.

In practice, this means R+I will function with only minimal staff on Fridays throughout the summer, from June 26 until August 21. R+I will resume regular weekly office hours on Friday, August 28.
