Congratulations to Professor Maxime Cohen, co-director of the Bensadoun School of Retail Management鈥檚 retail innovation lab, for being awarded the SCALE AI Research Chair in Data Science for Retail. The five-year chair will use AI to encourage healthier food choices, re-use more goods via a circular economy, make small businesses more efficient by digitizing supply chains in emerging markets, and increase access to legal advice.

For nearly two years, researchers and trainees have had to adjust to the new realities of remote teaching and learning, limited laboratory and facility access and have made a collective effort to protect each other by masking and social distancing. As 海角社区 resumes in-person activities, we are optimistic that the worst of the pandemic is behind us; however, we are also aware that individual experiences during this time have varied considerably across members of our community.
