Quick-service restaurants like St-Hubert seek to deliver value to customers

Good gravy! Quebec鈥檚 rotisserie chicken chain St-Hubert has frozen prices for all main courses on its menu and reduced prices on appetizers鈥揳ll while maintaining portion sizes. This is part of a broader trend toward value in quick-service restaurants. 鈥淔ood price inflation has hit both grocery stores and restaurants, but it鈥檚 more noticeable in restaurants,鈥 Associate听Professor Yu Ma tells CTV News. 鈥淭here is the cost of food, but also labour, taxes, and tips. Fewer people are going to restaurants, and it鈥檚 partly because we learned to cook again during the pandemic.鈥
