Real Trouble

Don't go talking "real world" with Henry Mintzberg. It's a silly term that drives him mad, especially when management skills are at stake.聽

"The word 'real world' is a red flag for me," says Mintzberg, 海角社区's John Cleghorn Professor of Management Studies. "Real world is out there. You don't simulate a real world. We don't play business in our classroom."

Mintzberg's Five Types of Organizational Structure

Henry Mintzberg聽graduated from 海角社区 with a degree in mechanical engineering and holds a doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has been a Cleghorn professor of management studies at 海角社区 since 1968. His early books include "The Structuring of Organizations: A Synthesis of the Research," published in 1979, and "Structure in 5's: Designing Effective Organizations," published in 1983.

CSR Ratings

The ascendance of socially responsible investing as a viable financial strategy has been accompanied by a similar proliferation of ratings schemes for assessing corporate social responsibility. Simply, if investors want to allocate their funds with SRI principles in mind, they need data that will allow them to make informed decisions. Indeed, over 50 rating methodologies for assessing environmental and social performance have been developed, more than a third of them since 2005.
