Simon Olivier

Simon Olivier is an executive leader with an international track record in innovation, strategy, entrepreneurship and financial services. He has worked with Fortune 500, medium-sized businesses, coop and start-ups across various industries, all with the goal of driving social development initiatives in Energy, Water, Healthcare, Finance and Food. Some of his career highlights include: leading the largest asset-based financial deal for GE Capital in Canada (2000); pioneering GE鈥檚 renewables business (wind, solar, biomass) by building a multi-billion-dollar franchise (2003-2012); heading GE鈥檚 business development (M&A, GE Ventures) in Canada (2012-2016) and launching a $40M co-investment partnership between Agropur Coop茅rative and Caisse de d茅p么t et placement du Qu茅bec to invest in innovative dairy startups (2018).
Simon is currently a Senior Partner at Cycle Capital, heading their BleuImpact Water Fund. BleuImpact is well-positioned to take advantage of a wave of innovation in the water sector. Its goal is to fund the acceleration of innovative companies and scale up their solutions protecting and conserving water supplies. Their approach is to invest in the most important sub-sectors; sustainable agriculture, industrial processes and water conservation, blue chemistry and water treatment and digital water.
Simon Olivier holds an engineering degree from 脡cole Polytechnique and an MBA in finance from 海角社区. He has been active on several boards, including the Canadian Wind Energy Association, and is currently an active board member on both the Chambre de Commerce du Montr茅al m茅tropolitain and C2 boards. In 2009, he received the Jeune leader d'affaires du Qu茅bec award. Simon Olivier is also a sports enthusiast, who takes part in triathlons and marathons.
