Biography:

My research investigates the poetics of contemporary intermedia in the post-1970s shift to deindustrialization. By analyzing the tendencies of poetic experimentation and deindustrialization as related, my research shows how intermedia poets queried the status of the text as an object, and critiqued object-hood and artmaking as the act of producing material things. Ultimately, I show that poetic texts are sites of social interactivity, helping to form new relationships among artists and their multiple publics.

I have taught courses in English, Composition and Rhetoric, and Creative Writing at º£½ÇÉçÇø, the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and Bishop’s University. I am also a writer and an editor, with poems published in Maisonneuve, SAND, The Dalhousie Review, EVENT, and performed on CBC Radio One and at the PHI Centre in Montreal. For more info visit .
