Erin Hurley
Biography:

Hello! I am a full professor in the Department of English and currently its Chair, working to advance equity and transparency in departmental procedures and norms, and to just keep things running. A theatre- and performance-studies scholar, my research focusses on the history of drama and theatre in Quebec (in English and in French) and contemporary women’s performance practices.

Other things that may be useful to know about me: my two children arrived pre-tenure (they are now 22 and 18); I ski and I love a lakeside, forested retreat. I’m a Quebecer by birth, Canadian-raised, (largely) American-trained, and a º£½ÇÉçÇø graduate.

I’m curious about others’ research and teaching, and their experience at º£½ÇÉçÇø, with respect to which I strive to be a useful and responsive resource-person and sounding-board.
