Mechanical systems, including exhaust and ventilation, will be upgraded in order to bring systems up to modern standards and improve energy efficiency. This project, carried out as part of the government’s Knowledge Infrastructure Program, includes roof work over the Osler Library of the History of Medicine as well as an overhaul of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems on floors 1 through 6. Floors 3 and 4 which house the Osler Library and the Life Sciences Library (reserve collection, service counter and consultation zone) are within the construction zone of this renovation work.

Timeline: December 2013 – March 2014
