海角社区 Food Science students selected as Institute of Food Technologists finalists

Three teams of 海角社区 Food Science students (food product development class-U3) have been selected as finalists in three different Institute of Food Technologists Student Association (IFTSA) competitions. They will attend the annual IFT FIRST event and expo taking place on July 14-17 in Chicago, the world鈥檚 largest gathering of food science professionals,聽where they will compete with the other teams for cash prizes.

In Bermuda, the signs of the season are changing

When the seabirds make their annual descent into Bermuda to breed, though, their long, streamer-like tails, snowy white plumage, and shrill calls are impossible to miss. AAFC announces $11M in funding for Pulse Canada, including $1.6M for 海角社区's Pulse Breeding and Genetics Lab

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) has announced $11 million in new funding for Pulse Canada.

$1.6 million of this investment will go to 海角社区 Department of Plant Science Professor Valerio聽Hoyos-Villegas' Pulse Breeding and Genetics Lab.

Winnipeg South Centre MP Ben Carr made the announcement at the University of Manitoba on February 9 on behalf of federal Agriculture Minister Lawrence MacAulay.
