This 海角社区 Primary Care Practice-Based Research Network (PBRN) workshop afternoon is accredited under the Department of Family Medicine Faculty Development Annual Series for those who would like to receive MainPro Credits.

The overarching goal of this workshop activity is to enhance practice-based research and quality improvement capacities in the pursuit of evidence-based primary care. Participants will have the opportunity to explore how to initiate and be comfortable with the first steps in implementing a quality improvement project, reflect upon possible research activities and QI projects within the Department of Family Medicine and affiliated clinics and develop strategies for successful clinician-researcher collaborations.

When: Friday February 21, 2025, 1 to 4 pm.

Where: 海角社区 Department of Family Medicine, 5858 chemin de la C么te-des-Neiges, 3rd Floor.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this workshop activity, I should be able to:

  • Reflect upon possible research activities and quality improvement projects within the Department of Family Medicine at 海角社区 and affiliated clinics
  • Develop strategies for successful clinician-researcher collaborations
  • Refine and enhance my capacity to do practice-based research

Participants will be able to choose two workshops out of the following four options:

Workshop 1: Primer in Ethics: navigating ethics in practice-based research and quality improvement.

Workshop 2: Harmony in Research: roles and responsibilities.

Workshop 3: Turning clinical questions into scholarly inquiry.

Workshop 4: QI-101: Essentials of Continuous Quality Improvement.
