Stones and Fossils Bike Tour (in English)

Stones and Beer tour

This family-friendly bike trip explores the fossils and rocks, architecture, and secret spots in Montreal's building stones. We will snack near Leonard Cohen's boyhood home on a selection of local fresh market bread, fruit, ciders,听 海角社区 kombucha and cheese. The bike tour ends with the ghosts of Griffintown near the old Lowny's chocolate factory.

Weather permitting. We will notify all participants by 11h on Sunday July 21 if the weather is NOT GOOD.

In English. For children aged 12 and above, as well as adults.听Cyclist only.Please note that children under the age of 12 cannot participate.

Space is limited and advanced registration required.

We will be outdoors, so please wear appropriate clothing for the weather and good walking shoes.

Each tour is $15 (includes taxes) per adult, $10 (includes taxes) per seniors/students, $5 (includes taxes) per child (must be at least 12 years old).听Payable at the Museum.

Land Acknowledgement

Rematriation, Repatriation and Restitution Statement

We acknowledge that the return and restitution of cultural and natural heritage to communities of origin is an essential part of reconciliation and of recognizing the fundamental rights of Indigenous Peoples. As part of wider efforts to activate the standards presented in the Canadian Museums Association Report Moved to Action: Activating UNDRIP in Canadian Museums (2022), the Redpath is working towards pro-active restitution practices. As per our Collections Management Policy (2024), repatriation requests will be received by the Redpath Museum Director and will be treated on a case-by-case basis.
