GIS Day

November 14, 2012, is the international GIS Day. For the occasion, the Geographic Information Centre will be hosting a series of activities. The GIC is a new centre recently opened as part of the Geography Department at º£½ÇÉçÇø to answer geographical information system and remote sensing needs from the º£½ÇÉçÇø community. We are located on the fifth floor of Burnside Hall. Come see us or email us at GICsupport [at] mcgill.ca if you have any questions concerning  GIS and Remote Sensing.

GIS day will be divided in four parts: a discovering GIS activity,  a poster session presenting work in GIS and Remote Sensing from student at º£½ÇÉçÇø, a series of talks including our keynote lecture by George Leblanc of National Research Council Canada – Flight Research laboratory, and a wine and cheese to celebrate the official opening of the centre. These activities will all take place between 12:30 and 6:00pm in various location in Burnside Hall. Open to all.
