Sociologie (Arts) : Theories of social, economic, and political change in the industrialized societies. Causes of cycles in economic growth; imperialism and war; and in ethnic, religious, and industrial conflict. Causes of long run trends in social inequality, crime, family stability, and the position of women. Comparison of North America, Europe, Russia, and Japan.
