Dr. St茅phane Rinfret is a renowned cardiologist and the Chief of Interventional Cardiology at the 海角社区 Health Centre (MUHC), where he also serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine at 海角社区. He completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of Montreal in 1997 and pursued further training in interventional cardiology at the Montreal Heart Institute and the Central Hospital of the University of Montreal (CHUM) in 1998-1999. Dr. Rinfret went on to complete a postgraduate fellowship in Interventional Cardiology, Health Services, and Economic Research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Clinical Research Institute in 2001, also earning a master's degree in clinical epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health.聽
Dr. Rinfret鈥檚 early career included seven years at CHUM before moving to the Institute University of Cardiology and Pneumology of Quebec (IUCPQ) in 2008, where he worked for another seven years. Since joining 海角社区 in 2016, he has become a leader in coronary interventions, performing over 300 percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) annually. He is also responsible for the MUHC鈥檚 Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) and Complex Higher-Risk but Indicated Procedures (CHIP) program. A researcher and educator, Dr. Rinfret has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and has been invited to lecture internationally more than 200 times.聽
