Overview
Aerospace engineering is a rapidly evolving discipline that focuses on the design, development, testing, production and maintenance of aircraft and spacecraft. Open to students in the Faculty of Engineering, the minor in Aerospace will prepare you for a career in the field.
After completing required courses which cover fundamental aircraft and spacecraft design concepts, you can choose between five streams of specialization:
- Aerodynamics and propulsion
- Aircraft structure
- Spacecraft and systems
- Material and processes
- Avionics
A capstone aerospace design project is offered in the last year of the program in collaboration with local aerospace companies, allowing you to get familiar with the industry.

Depending on your interests, you can work in areas including research, design and development, project management, inspection and maintenance.
