You can quote me on that

A great way to jazz up a page, especially if there鈥檚 a lot of text, is to apply a typographic treatment that you鈥檒l probably recognize from magazine layouts, namely, the pull-quote. With a pull-quote, you take an excerpt of a compelling part of the text and set it apart in a contrasting style. This draws the reader鈥檚 attention because it makes the page visually interesting and inviting. It鈥檚 a simple but effective technique that you鈥檒l find can yield great results.

a pull-quote on a page

This is something that you can easily achieve in the WMS with the 鈥減ull-quote鈥 class. All you need to do is locate the portion of text that you want to quote and surround it with a tag that includes the class, like so:

this is the quote

Tips for creating your pull-quote:

 • Keep it short 鈥 less is more 鈥 it will look more attractive and provide just enough content to draw the reader in
 • Be picky in choosing the piece of text that will most pique the reader鈥檚 curiosity
 • Don鈥檛 overdo it; depending on the length of the page, one pull-quote can be sufficient to create an impact
