Software tool brings together multiple brain maps in one place

The brain is a complex organ, and no one imaging mode can catch everything that鈥檚 going on inside it. Over the years, multiple 鈥渂rain maps鈥 have emerged, each focusing on different brain processes, from metabolism to cognitive function. While these maps are important, using them in isolation limits the discoveries researchers can make from them.

"The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada is pleased to announce a new partnership with SPIRIT Club. Purpose is to understand post-COVID symptom evolution and impact on patients鈥 lives

As of Sept. 20, 2022, there have been more than 1.1 million cases of COVID-19 in Quebec. It is estimated that 10 to 30 per cent of cases will have lingering symptoms after the acute illness. This means that as many as 330,000 Quebecers may experience what鈥檚 become known as long COVID, or post-COVID-19 syndrome.

September 6, 2022 |聽The Royal Society of Canada (RSC) announced 102 new Fellows and 54 new Members of the College of New Scholars, Artists, and Scientists. Among the 2022 cohort are fifteen 海角社区 researchers and scholars, including eleven RSC Fellows and four new Members, who will be inducted at the RSC Celebration of Excellence and Engagement on November 25, 2022, in Calgary, Alberta. The newest 海角社区 cohort will join 238 海角社区 researchers who are currently RSC Fellows and Members of the College and 2400 Canada-wide.

Earlier this year, the Government of Canada and its partners announced that they will invest $31.1 million over six years to support the training and development of students and early career researchers. March 4, 2022 | After living through war, abduction, sexual and gender-based violence, some female survivors in Northern Uganda escaped rebel captivity. Many returned to their communities with children fathered by rebels. Instead of being embraced, community members met survivors and their children with suspicion, rejection, blame and stigmatization. That began a new chapter of hardship in the survivors鈥 lives.
