When preparing course readings, instructors must ensure copied materials comply with 海角社区鈥檚 Copyright policies and our COPIBEC licensing agreement.
Electronic readings
If 海角社区 Library has an electronic version (e-version) of your desired course reading, it鈥檚 easy to link to it on myCourses. First, find the Permalink for the reading, then .
Scanned readings
If you do not have access to an electronic version of a course reading, there are two options to upload scanned readings to myCourses while respecting copyright.
1. Use your own scan
If you already have a scan of the desired readings, please use the听reporting readings听process. Reporting these texts using Savia (an online form) helps ensure all scanned readings are legally copied for course use. This must occur BEFORE you upload these readings to myCourses. Please note that reporting is required each term.听
2. Request a scan听
Instructors may place a request with the library for materials that would have originally been contained in course packs created by the bookstore. The library will attempt to obtain electronic copies of items not owned, or will attempt to obtain copyright clearance for those materials not available electronically. Once copyright clearances have been obtained, the Library will send you a PDF that you can upload to myCourses.听
