Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Leadership Award

As part of the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences strategic plan, the Dean’s Office has established the EDI Leadership Award to recognize EDI initiatives within the Faculty and in its affiliated hospitals. 

Eligibility criteria:

  • individuals who have demonstrated outstanding EDI leadership through activities at the Faculty and the affiliated hospitals during the preceding academic year (September 1 – August 31);
  • individuals who have not received the EDI Leadership Award in the previous five (5) years.

A maximum of two (2) faculty or staff members will be selected as the recipients by the members of the Faculty Executive Committee with voting rights, during the fall Faculty Executive Committee meeting. Each recipient will receive a monetary award of $500. If the Executive Committee cannot identify suitable awardees in a given year, the award will not be handed out.
