Overview of Finance

Do you have what it takes to meet the increasing demand for expertise in a rapidly growing functional area of business.

Integrating strong theoretical knowledge with a strong focus on the real world, a Finance degree will give you an in-depth knowledge of finance theory, financial institutions, investment analysis, risk management, and applied techniques.

Begin with the basics (corporate finance, investment management); before delving into more specialized areas of finance such as trading simulations, mergers and acquisitions, pensions, sustainable finance, and behavioral finance.


Overview of Honours Investment Management (HIM)

The Honours in Investment Management program at 海角社区 is where the future of global investment management education begins. With a focus on real-world investing experience, integrated training, international partnerships and global opportunities, this program will give you a competitive edge in the financial asset management industry.

The Honours degree in Investment Management is a selective undergraduate program that will prepare you for a career in financial asset management. Designed in consultation with a world-leading team of investment managers, the program looks ahead to the future of the investment management industry.

The program integrates investment management teaching, research and practice to create a unique value exchange between leading industry experts, world-class finance professors and our outstanding students, who benefit from the best possible learning experience.


Overview of Joint Honours Economics & Finance

With an听Honours听degree听in Economics and Finance at 海角社区, you will gain a broad understanding of how economics and finance work together to power our economy. The two fields听are closely entwined, with both focusing on the allocation of resources听within the economy.听听

While the economics component will provide you with a strong theoretical framework for understanding how these resources are allocated, the finance courses will provide a more applied view with a greater focus on the real-world and experiential learning opportunities to give you a competitive edge.听听

You鈥檒l听study topics like economic statistics,听macroeconomic theory, corporate finance and investment management. As the program brings together management and arts students,听you鈥檒l听develop strong networks to help you build your professional portfolio.听


As of Fall 2023, the BCom Joint Honours option will be retired. Students who have started the Joint Honours program prior to Fall 2023, can continue with the old curriculum.
