Biography:
Stephen Peters is of settler origin from Red Deer, Alberta, Treaty 7 country. For the past 6 years, Stephen has worked as part of the directorship team of 海角社区鈥檚 Office of First Nations and Inuit Education. In this position, Stephen works in partnership with Kativik Ilisarniliriniq, the Cree School Board, the Naskapi Education Committee, the Listuguj Education Directorate, the Kahnawake Education Centre, and the Mohawk Language Custodian Association to develop and administer in community teacher education, professional development, and leadership programs. Stephen also serves as a Faculty Lecturer for the Department of Integrated Studies in Education teaching communication in education courses.
