Biographical Sketch
Dr. Yale is an endocrinologist, currently Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine.聽 Dr. Yale chaired the Clinical and Scientific Section of the CDA from 1992-1994. He chaired the Expert Committee that published the 2001 Canadian Diabetes Association Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Prevention and Management of Hypoglycemia in Diabetes. He was a member of the Steering Committee for the 1998, 2003, 2008 and 2013 CDA Clinical Practice Guidelines.

Dr. Yale鈥檚 research interests (210 publications) include the prevention of hypoglycemia in type 1 diabetes, intensive management of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and he participated in numerous multicentre trials on new therapies for type 1 and type 2 diabetes, including聽 ACCORD, ORIGIN, DREAM, NAVIGATOR, INSIGHT, AIM@GP, SOLVE, TECOS, SAVOR-TIMI, EXSCEL, REWIND and EAGLE.
