Tracie Barnett
Tracie Barnett, PhD, is an FRQS Senior Career Award Scholar, Associate Professor at 海角社区, and a researcher at the Sainte-Justine research centre. The overarching aim of Dr. Barnett鈥檚 program of research is to investigate the influence of features of built and social environments on pediatric and youth obesity, and how these can be leveraged to promote healthy weight in youth. Her PI-led studies focus on defining relevant environments, capturing salient characteristics and producing meaningful indicators within residential neighbourhoods, schools and social networks; exploring how these change and evolve over time as youth grow and mature; and testing novel risk factors underlying potential mediating pathways in the environment-obesity relation.
