Renewing Immigration Documents

If your immigration documents have expired, you cannot resume your studies unless you have聽 or you have obtained a new CAQ聽and Study Permit. All international students are responsible for maintaining valid immigration documents and legal status throughout the duration of their program of studies.

(Undergraduate & Graduate) continuing studies in the same degree or new degree

Important tips:

  • 笔补蝉蝉辫辞谤迟听- Your study permit and temporary resident visa (TRV) cannot be issued past the expiration date of your passport. Renew your passport at least 6 months before it expires. Check this to find your country's closest Consulate or Embassy.
  • Depending on when your study permit and your TRV (if applicable) expire, you may need to remain in Canada while your applications are processing.聽For more information, see Study Permit FAQs > Current Students > Question #6.
  • Keep records聽-聽Ensure that you keep photocopies and/or digital copies聽of all application forms and supporting documents that you send to Immigration Canada and Immigration Qu茅bec.
  • Send new immigration documents to 海角社区. Once your CAQ and study permit have been renewed, submit copies of these to 海角社区's Legal Documents.
