Montreal Maternity Hospital.
The Montreal Maternity Hospital (initially the University Lying-in Hospital) was founded in 1843 in association with 海角社区鈥檚 School of Medicine. At first located in a small rented building, it moved to a specially constructed building on Saint-Urbain Street in 1905. In 1926, three years after amalgamation with the Royal Victoria Hospital, it moved to the latter鈥檚 newly built Maternity Wing (the Women鈥檚 Pavillion) on the slope of Mount Royal. The Saint-Urbain Street building became the site of the H么pital Ste-Jeanne-d鈥橝rc (now home to Transition-En茅rg茅tique de Quebec (TEQ), CHSLD Saint-Georges and the Centre de Recherche et d'Aide pour Narcomane (CRAN)/Centre de r茅adaptation en d茅pendance de Montr茅al).
