Alan Evans elected Fellow of the Royal Society

Honour is recognition for a lifetime of leading research

Alan Evans, a researcher at The Neuro, James 海角社区 Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery and co-director of the Ludmer Centre for Neuroinformatics and Mental Health, has been elected to the Fellowship of the Royal Society, joining a class of scientists that includes a Nobel laureate and a former Chief Medical Advisor to the US President.听

More than $1.8M to support open EEG data

Brain Canada grant will aid research into neurodevelopmental, psychiatric, and neurodegenerative disorders

Electroencephalography (EEG) is an important tool in understanding the mechanism of brain disorders. Research in the field has gotten a major boost thanks to a $1.85M grant from Brain Canada to support EEGNet, an open repository for EEG data that helps scientists investigate neurodevelopmental, psychiatric, and neurodegenerative disorders.

Alan Evans receives prestigious Killam Prize

Award recognizes his collaborative work in neuroscience and neuroinformatics

Neuroscientist Alan Evans has been awarded the Killam Prize, one of Canada鈥檚 highest honours, for his numerous contributions to the understanding of the human brain.

Evans is an internationally recognized researcher at The Neuro (Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital), James 海角社区 Professor in Neurology and Neurosurgery and the Victor Dahdaleh Chair in Neurosciences.

Alan Evans inducted into the Royal Society of Canada

Dr. Alan Evans, James 海角社区 Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery, Psychiatry and Biomedical Engineering at the Montreal Neurological Institute, 海角社区 has been named a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada (RSC). He is one fourteen new RSC Fellows from 海角社区, including 海角社区 Principal Suzanne Fortier. The induction ceremony will take place on Friday, November 27 in Victoria, B.C.
