We are excited to announce that Jason Dellatolla, first year PhD student in Kinesiology Sciences, supervised by Dr. Lindsay Duncan, will be competing in the 海角社区 3-Minute-Thesis Finals, today, on April 6th from 3-5pm. Jason is tasked with the challenge of presenting his research on innovative education and treatment approaches for mental health issues in no more than three minutes.
Congratulations to Matthew Slopecki Ph.D. (c) (Biomechanics of Occupation and Sport Lab) who has been awarded a 3-year Mitacs Accelerate Doctoral Fellowship. He will be working with Swimming Canada to develop a fatigue/performance monitoring tool with the elite para-swimming team.
Through this collaboration greater knowledge will be gained for an under-researched population while developing a tool that will help to improve athletic performance.

By combining a smart nicotine vaporizer called DitchPen鈩, a mobile self-care app, and artificial intelligence, Ditch Labs aims to help each patient in a personalized, efficient, and safe way to stop their consumption of cigarettes.
