Convention de stage
The Convention de Stage is an internship agreement between the intern, º£½ÇÉçÇø, and the host organization.
Please note: º£½ÇÉçÇø cannot provide students with the standard French Convention de stage, but can approve a Déclaration relative à la participation d'un étudiant à une activité étudiante for current students. We will not review or approve any other version of the convention de stage.
Current students
- In order to issue a Déclaration relative à la participation d'un étudiant à une activité étudiante, the student must be registered in full time studies at the Desautels Faculty of Management, º£½ÇÉçÇø at the time of the request. The student must be returning to full time studies after their stage has ended.
- A mandatory internship program is not in place in the Bachelor of Commerce Program hence we will be unable to provide a Déclaration relative à la participation d'un étudiant à une activité étudiante to employers who request that the stage be a mandatory part of the student’s curriculum.
Graduating students
The student is no longer a full time student at º£½ÇÉçÇø once they have completed their program. If an employer allows for a non-returning º£½ÇÉçÇø graduate to apply to a Déclaration relative à la participation d'un étudiant à une activité étudiante, such a request must be made and completed by all parties before the last day of the student's final semester (i.e. for Spring 2022 graduates, the date would be April 30, 2022).

Fall/Winter Internships
The Desautels Faculty of Management does not have a required internship program at the undergraduate level (Bachelor of Commerce). Therefore, it is highly recommended that students complete an internship during the Summer (see previous section). If, however, students consider a Fall or Winter term internship, they must first ensure they are eligible to apply*. Accepting to complete a Fall or Winter term internship implies students will opt to take a term off school and extend their graduation date. Please visit the BCom office bcom.mgmt [at] mcgill.ca to discuss how Fall or Winter term internships can impact a student academically.
If the student is eligible to apply* to and accepts an internship during the Fall or Winter term, it is their responsibility to notify the BCom office bcom.mgmt [at] mcgill.ca prior to accepting the internship.
*International students at the BCom level are not eligible to apply; please refer to About International Student Services (ISS) | International Student Services - º£½ÇÉçÇø.
