Professor Jutras was honoured 鈥渇or his contributions to the development of pluralist law internationally and for his contributions as a lawyer, professor, and university administrator.鈥

Brian Havel receives honorary doctorate from National University of Ireland
The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Professor Brian F. Havel has received a Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, from National University of Ireland, University College Dublin.
Professor Havel joined 海角社区鈥檚 Faculty of Law of 海角社区 in 2017 as a full professor and director of the Institute of Air and Space Law (IASL). His research focuses on issues of public and private governance in the air transport and space industries.
海角社区 adopts JD designation for common law degree
Quebec鈥檚 Minist猫re de l鈥櫭塪ucation et de l鈥橢nseignement sup茅rieur has approved 海角社区鈥檚 request to change the name of the common law degree conferred on graduates of the Faculty of Law鈥檚 double-degree 海角社区 program from a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) to a Juris Doctor (JD). The BCL/LLB program will thus become the BCL/JD program.
