Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised (ADI-R) Workshop

Join us for an online workshop on the Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised (ADI-R), a pivotal tool in diagnosing autism. Whether you're a clinician or a researcher, this workshop is tailored to enhance your proficiency in using the ADI-R in traditional face-to-face settings and via telehealth platforms.

Goals of the workshop:

  • Learn the fundamentals of ADI-R administration and scoring
  • Practice ADI-R coding through observation of two ADI-R administrations and detailed coding discussions
  • Develop practical skills in using and interpreting ADI-R algorithms and classifications
  • Explore the clinical use of the ADI-R (e.g., report writing), its psychometric properties, and associated research

Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) Workshop

The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule - Second Edition (ADOS-2) is a widely used standardized assessment tool for diagnostic assessments of autism.ÌýThe online workshop is for professionals who would like to gain additional skills in diagnosing autism using the ADOS-2 across ages, developmental levels and language skills.

Goals of the workshop:

It covers modules 1, 2, 3 and 4 as well as the Toddler module, and includes discussion about:

  • the use of the ADOS-2 in making a clinical diagnosis
  • administration, scoring, and use of ADOS-2 algorithms
  • issues related to differential diagnosis, diagnosis in context, complex clinical situations, and report writing
  • current research on ADOS-2

Master Trainer (MT) Workshop for the WHO's Caregivers Skills Training (CST) Program

Become a Master Trainer for the Caregivers Skills Training (CST) Program, and help caregivers of young children with neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism, learn the skills needed to support their child's growth and development.

Gain knowledge and skills to:

  • Teach caregivers to use evidence-basedÌýstrategies with their children promoting shared engagement, social skills, and positive behaviours through play and daily home routines
  • Implement the CST Program in your routine services
  • Train and supervise others to carry out the intervention with you.
About the CST Program
  • Developed by theÌý, with support fromÌý, and used in 30+ countries to help address widespread shortage of evidence-based early intervention
  • For caregivers of 2- to 7-year-old children with neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism
  • Aims to empower parents and caregivers with knowledge, skills, and resources toÌýhelp better support their children and improve wellbeingÌý
  • The CST Program includes nine group sessions and three individual coaching visits that cover topics such as communication, daily living skills, positive behaviour and engagement, as well as caregiving coping skills

ECHO-Autism Workshop

The ECHO-Autism telementoring program is breaking new ground in Quebec – under the direction ofÌýJulie Scorah, PhD – and setting a standard for best practices and expanding knowledge about autism and neurodevelopmental conditions among healthcare providers.

​How it works

TheÌýÌýconsists of a platform for both delivery of services and outcomes research, with the purpose of reducing health disparities by erasing barriers between specialty and primary care, particularly in underserved and remote areas. Using a "hub-and-spoke" model, the program connects expert specialists (the 'Hub Team') with healthcare professionals and trainees in local communities through virtual clinics.

Each session includes a short didactic lecture on a specific topic, followed by a case study by an attendee and a group discussion.
