Professor Weinstock named Associate Dean (Research), Professor Jukier to continue serving as Associate Dean (Academic)
The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Professor Daniel Weinstock has been appointed associate dean (Research) for a three-year term starting 1 September 2021. He will replace Professor Allison Christians, H. Heward Stikeman Chair in the Law of Taxation, who is completing a four-year term.

Winners of the Baxter Family Competition on Federalism 2021
The Faculty of Law of 海角社区 and the Peter MacKell Chair in Federalism are delighted to announce the winners of the 2020-2021 Baxter Family Competition on Federalism, organized by Professor Johanne Poirier.

The Faculty of Law is delighted to announce that Professor Lionel Smith has been reappointed as Sir William C. Macdonald Chair, effective 1 May 2021 to 30 April 2028.
Established in 1895, the Macdonald Chairs are some of the oldest endowed positions at 海角社区.

Professors Ramanujam and M茅gret named co-directors of the Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism

Irwin Cotler named Special Envoy on Preserving Holocaust Remembrance and Combatting Antisemitism
We are pleased to share that Professor Emeritus the Hon. Irwin Cotler, OC, OQ, PC, BA鈥61, BCL鈥64, LLD鈥19, has been named Special Envoy on Preserving Holocaust Remembrance and Combatting Antisemitism by the Prime Minister of Canada. Professor Cotler is the first incumbent of this role aimed at preserving the stories of Holocaust survivors through younger generations, and working to promote and defend pluralism, inclusion, and human rights.
